Germantown | Paristown Pointe

Welcome to Germantown / Paristown Pointe

An eclectic and charming community that has been revitalized with a focus on its historic and artistic heritage.

This historic, urban neighborhood is near the heart of Louisville, KY. This trendy area of the city is truly one of a kind. This neighborhood pays homage to the city’s German heritage through its dining and entertainment options, many of which are a walking distance from home.

Shotgun homes are commonly found in Germantown. It is not unusual to find century old homes that have been renovated down to the studs and revitalized to accommodate the modern buyer who appreciates the historic value of the property. In addition to the historic homes of the area, loft-style living is becoming popular in this neighborhood.

This up and coming neighborhood is investing in its future with newly developed locals like the Old Forester Paristown Hall and the Village Market Food Hall as well as the Logan Street Market, an indoor market with everything from craft beer vendors to sushi. It is the place to be for great food, local art and historic traditions like Octoberfest and the World Champion Dainty Contest, both of which are held annually in the neighborhood.

What to Love

  • Walking distance to many restaurants, bars and venues

  • Charming homes with lots of character

  • Urban feel without being “downtown”

Germantown and Paristown Pointe feature a vast array of local restaurants that cater to the history of the area. Eiderdown is a great place for authentic German-American fare. For something a little more funky, check out the dive Nachbar, which means “neighbor” in German. For down home southern cooking, the Café is another great food option.

Sunergos Coffee and Nords Bakery both have their upbringing in Schnitzelburg, as well as Checks Cafe and Monnik, a local brewery and restaurant. Schniztelburg is a pocket niche within Germantown where everything you could want is within a few hundred yards, and resides in the shadows of University of Louisville campus.
